Send one text. Everyone on your list gets it, within seconds.

The problem

The message shouldn't live on one person's phone.

Most schools handle staff absences the same way. A sick teacher texts the daily organiser's personal mobile before 7am. It works, until that person is on leave, off sick themselves, or leaves the school. Then the message sits on a phone nobody is watching, and period 1 gets organised late.

How it works

One number. Your list. Everyone in seconds.

01

Your school gets a Relay number

Staff save it once. It never changes, whoever is in the role.

02

You choose up to 20 people

Add or remove them any time in your Yindi portal. No IT involved.

03

Every text reaches all of them

Word for word, the sender's number attached, within seconds.

Not just absences

A quiet way to call for backup.

Same number, a different job. A staff member texts “Need help, room 5B” or “Student needs help on the oval”, and your welfare or admin team is notified at once. An extra, silent way to flag for help, alongside your school's existing emergency procedures, never a replacement for them.

Questions

Straight answers

Is Yindi Relay for contacting parents?+
No. It's an internal staff line. Your parent communications do a different job, Relay is for your staff.
Can the people who receive a text reply through it?+
No. Relay is one-way. Replies aren't delivered or monitored. Staff respond through their normal channels.
How many people can receive each text?+
Up to 20 recipients that you choose.
Do we control who receives the texts?+
Yes. You add, remove or pause recipients any time in your Yindi portal. No IT involved.
Does the number change when staff change roles?+
No. The Relay number stays the same, so staff only save it once.
How fast is it?+
Texts are forwarded within seconds of arriving.
Can we use it to call for help with a student?+
Some schools use it as a quiet, extra way to flag for backup, for example "Need help, room 5B". Treat it as a supplement to your existing emergency and duress procedures, not a replacement. Delivery depends on the mobile networks.
Do we need new hardware or phone lines?+
No. Relay is set up remotely.
Is it separate from Yindi's phone receptionist?+
Yes. Relay is SMS only and works on its own, with or without Yindi voice.

Yindi Relay is a one-way staff messaging line. A different job from your parent app, this one is for your staff. Delivery depends on the mobile networks and is not a substitute for your emergency or duress procedures.
